Conrad Guthrie

    Originally from DuBois, Pennsylvania, Conrad started on piano at age seven and moved to the Fender bass when he discovered rock ‘n roll in junior high.  While playing with Cincinnati area R&B and show groups, he studied bass viol with Charles Metcalf of the Cincinnati Symphony and then majored in jazz education at North Texas State and William Penn College.  Conrad toured with regional and national recording/performing acts before settling down in the Houston area. In addition to playing with Main Street, Conrad has appeared with many area pop groups and praise and worship teams. He is principal bassist for The Woodlands United Methodist Church Orchestra.
